Random Post: Beautiful British Columbia

Vancouver, BC is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve visited and fortunately, had the pleasure of living in. I am continually awestruck by the beauty of the lakes, mountains, and the city itself. One of my favorite memories of Vancouver was during the summer when my family and I decided to explore the city and watch the fireworks for Canada Day.

We started the day by grabbing a late lunch at one of my favorite poutine spots downtown – for those who do not know, poutine is a Canadian specialty that consists of french fries and various toppings of your choice (i.e. gravy, cheese, vegetables, meat, etc.). After a delicious lunch, we headed down towards the beach where red and white colors were displayed with pride from flags to beach balls to t-shirts. I inhaled the brisk, clean air as the light warmth of the sun wrapped around me like a blanket. After sharing countless laughs and stories, we watched the sun set on the glistening ocean. The fireworks steadily rose in intensity and concluded with a beautiful descent of golden sparkles. We drove back home relishing each other’s company, watching the buildings pass by us one-by-one, and anticipating the next reunion with a new set of stories and laughs
